Cool cabinet. If their are any brake pad numbers on it you may be able to date it that way.

I don't think they would have chrome-plated the front of that in the 30's, 40's or 50's. Can you post more pictures of both the art work and the inside?

I would think so too, but the way it is put together... This guy was advertising a similar one with a lighted top piece a few years ago, saying it was from the 40's: http://www.oldgas.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=629004

Here are more pics of mine. Either way, cool score for $75. I was just thinking maybe some people here would know about it. Maybe I will join that site...oldgas....what a terrible name.

Research old automobile repair trade magazines for Raybestos advertising. The styling of the box painted on the front of the cabinet will be representative of those from the era when it was made.

My uncle gave to me 1980 had it in my garage never had the keys but you have to turn locks to open close.
