Vintage Rayovac Flashlight

I used to collect old flashlights. Sold them off some time ago, but still have a couple left.

Here's a couple pics of my old Rayovac flashlight. This flashlight is covered in rubber of some type. I believe the flashlight's lense turned yellow over the years. Not sure if it was designed as a non-sparking light for electrical use or for boating/water borne use. Anyone know?

The flashlight still works though its single lamp beam is not that bright. I keep it on top of my electrical bench shelf.

Anybody else have a cool old flashlight?

I prefer older vintage flashlights as well - just something about metal construction and made in USA that I like. Always keep an eye open at estate sales and such.

Seems like every Rayovac flashlight I came across back in the day had leaking corroding batteries...don't know why.

not quite as "vintage" as yours.
picked this up at a supermarket about 25 years ago. five bucks.
uses two AA batteries and a regular ol' incandescent bulb. works dandy.
don't need 100 million candlepower LED to fire up my Dragonfly out in the field, and I can see the trail tread just fine with it.
best part is I can hold it in my teeth. can't do that with a "Mini-Mag" - you'll break your teeth.
gave my old Petzl headlamp away - couldn't stand having an elastic band wrapped around my head.

Has anyone ever seen a flashlight like this? I cannot find anything quite like it and it does not have a visible brand name. Any info would be of great help.

I think those rubber coated Rayovacs came with multiple lenses, red, clear and amber. I remember back in my scouting days a couple of kids in my troop had lights similar to yours and they different color lenses you could switch out for whatever purpose.
