I recently picked this Roller up along with a Snap on KRA-59A top box
The logo was missing from the roller but the outline shape of the missing logo leads me to beleive it is a Proto? Any thoughts ...Please let me know. Thanks James

That's pretty nice! Looks like it's built like a tank!

Yep, proto badged, made by waterloo, 70's vintage give or take a few years. Let's see the KRA59.

Thanks for the input!
Heavy and indeed well Made in USA! Made by Waterloo ....cool.
Wheels are 4" in diameter and 2" wide!
So does any one have or know where I might be able to get the correct Proto logo / badge / emblem / label for this beast?
I'll post some pic of the KRA59 soon

The original will have to be used, check ebay or the like. A modern Proto badge would probably fit, and with a little compound you could probably blend the oval out as IIRC; the modern Proto badges are rectangular.

If you check the bottom frame rail on the front of the box, it should be stamped year made.

Hey ZKling
Found the date Thanks. stamped where you indicated at the bottom 12-77..So I guess that is December 1977. Is the model # stamped on it somewhere too? Or maybe PlomBob knows the model # since he has one.
I checked eBay for the Proto Badge...not much on there.
Any other web sites that might have it?
Pardon my ignorance but what does IIRC stand for?
Cheers

I found the pamphlets that came with my boxes, but there wasn't one for the main box. All I found was this:

I found the receipt for my box. It's a 9956. I paid 216.69 for it in 1983. That was 40% off list.

How about finding a peroid correct nice logo pic online, save it, resize it if needed, print it on a full page label, cover it with wide clear tape or clearcoat spray, trim it out, and adhere it? <$10 for that fix...

Hey guys, as long as we're talking about Proto boxes, I'm in the process of restoring my dad's old Proto top box. He thinks he bought it in 58-59 but can't remember for sure. I'd really like to find an emblem for it (assuming it had one when new). I think I have a picture attached....

Any ideas where I can find one? I have scoured the web and cant find much info. I even called Proto hoping they could help but no luck. Does anyone know which emblem Proto was using in 1958?

Thanks for the help!
