Vintage Sears screwdriver marked BF

I was going through some recent buys and came across this nice Sears screwdriver. I did a search and couldn't fine this exact one. I am guessing maybe 1970's. It has a BF stamped on the handle and it is very well made.

Nice. If you look up Dunlap screwdriver, you'll see they are the same with a different stamp.

I'd make a significant bet on that screwdriver being a product of the Kyoto Tool Company.

Is it marked "Japan" (or anything else)?

I don't know - a Dunlap driver I used to have looks different. The rounded cap on that driver in the OP looks old Thorsen to me.

That one does look similar. Hmmm.

In a way it kind of reminds me of the older Fuller tools with the red cap end.

Yes it looks close color wise but the red cap is more elongated. Looks like Sears wanted the yellow red combo and went with a few manufacturers. Im wondering if the BF is a Manufacturer stamp they put on all their drivers or one Sears specified they wanted on the sears models.

it does kinda-sorta resemble an early 80M Thorsen, BUT: take a look here:

.... although looking at both of those Sears/Dunlap sets, the OP's model does bear a resemblance to the Thorsen 80M spinner handle in shape, if not color:
