Hey everyone,
I picked up a couple vintage bead rollers (well, at least I think that's what they are) at a garage sale recently. One has a nice brass name plate for Brown Boggs Co. Hamilton, Canada. I'm always attracted to old tools like this and they were fairly cheap, but I honestly don't know much about them.
I've done a bit of searching to try and figure out what these are used for, and whether they would be any use to me, but I haven't found much info. Almost everything I've found on bead rollers is for the bigger ones with larger capacity throats and interchangeable dies for doing auto body work.
Would these smaller ones be used only for HVAC duct work? Would they be good for anything else like making body panels or other metal fabrication work?
Here's a couple pics. Thanks.
