Everyone loves to look at tools, right?

I took pics of these nearly-new (except for the bottom one) vintage SK screwdrivers for a fellow on here who is looking for a set. I figured I'd show them to you folks as well. I think they are the nicest classic screwdriver design out there. Vanadium Tool Company blue and white drivers are similarly nice.

I've owned all of those for years, and although the handles of mine are well worn, the tips are still quite good, despite the fact they've been punished occasionally. A very high quality product. Thanks.

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
I have two complete sets of those SK screwdrivers that I bought in 1978/79. I bought a third set in the early 80's. I used one set and the others have been sitting in a drawer with few d huge sets of early 80's Matco hard handle screwdrivers.

I'll have to dig them out and take some pictures. I've always loved those SK's.

Wow, what nice condition. They started that color scheme late in the Wayne era. Yours say just 'sk' so I'm guessing mid 80's

Nice! I have started picking these up myself, not as pretty as yours but still very serviceable.

The 1/4 driver on top is S-K Wayne 40954 and does not appear to have ever had white on it.

The bit driver just below still has the four S-K bits in the handle judging by the part number on them whiech is real similar to the driver (driver 73514, small flat 73531, large flat 73533, #1 phillips 73521 and #2 phillips 73522)

The third one, the small 1/8" flat tip cabinet screwdriver, is 70044

The fourth one is a 3/16" flat tip is 71006

The fifth one is a 1/4" flat tip 70086

The two stubby flat blades are different sizes both in tip width and length. The S-K one is 72081 and has a 1/4" tip, the S-K Tools the number is faded and has a 5/16 tip

The phillips #2 stubby is 73022

The phillips #3 is 73003

Now I need to find a #0, #1 and #2 phillips.

Easy to spot these with their green color!

I would like to those blue Vanadium's.

I got a set of those when starting out as a mechanic in 1980, and the only one I still have from that set is a stubby philips. Though I snagged a standard stubby somewhere along the line.

The white on green is nice to look at.

Dan has some SK like those for sale, I wobbled about buying them and decided I needed to find them on my own for full satisfaction. ;)

I also found a guy on ebay in Canada with NOS, but $15 shipping on top of a moderate prices killed my enthusiasm, along with no fun in hunting them down.

I have a nice condition long shaft bit holder, and just bought a worn 1/4 drive spinner. No sensible reason for wanting them, but I do.

I have that exact same SK Stubby Phillips and wish I had the whole set.. That Stubby is my favorite and I have used the heck out of it for the last 25 years or more and it's still sharp..

Here some I have. Sold a couple off. Collectors seem to love these, I think its the color. I've found you often get chrome peel on the slotted driver tips.

Welcome to the Canadian's Hell! I rarely buy on eBay any more as shipping has become uneconomic...

The green and white S-K drivers are pretty nice looking. I have a few here, the handles are excellent but the working end is pretty worn. I should pull them off and make a few custom handled ratchets.

I don't have a great urge to use them, I really kind of like the black hard handle Snapon, but this is making me want to buy a few. ;)

I'm too cheap for those LOL. I will keep an eye out for them at yard sales and pawn shops.

Kinda my thought, I was tempted when I first saw them, but $7.24 for an odd brand, old screwdriver is just over my threshold. Especially since its not a tool I would be buying to use, just eye candy for the tool box.

I have a 1/4" socket handle in green and white like that but it was bought new in the 2000's.

Also I've had Sk screwdrivers with handle shapes like these but in red. Anybody seen those?

Here are my two 5-piece Vanadium Tool Corporation sets. Some have never turned a screw, a few have turned a few screws at most. I've been displaying them in a vintage screwdriver display stand, but it's time for me to get rid of a lot of my vintage tools.

Thanks for posting, Bull. Very, very nice!

No matter how many fancy "new" style screwdrivers I get I still find the most comfortable and easiest to put a lot of torque into, are these old style fluted screwdriver handles.

So how many Pontiac 1950's service reminder cards do you need to swap for a set of those LOL?

Those old SKs are pretty cool. But the dark green ones that replaced them are pretty awesome as well. Much nicer to hold, not as tough on your hands when you apply force. I have a set of the dark green ones that have lasted 30 years and are still fine. The only driver I have with the old style handle as show here is a 1/4" socket driver. I thing they made these a lot longer than the screwdrivers.

I picked up a dark non clear green SK P2 long shaft for a buck the other day, handle feels like Snapon hard handles.
