I picked this set up during a recent trip to an antique mall. It was dirty as heck, but As you can see they cleaned up nicely! It is a full 8-22mm set in a yellow roll. One question I have is about these raised initials on each wrench.

They are different on each size, and are not stamped, they were cast this way. I have looked but have not seen this on any other sets. Any idea what they are?

They seem to be some sort of production forging codes, but I haven't ever noticed any kind of decipherable pattern.

You'll also find similar letters on the ratchets in the location marked in the attached picture.

You probably should Get rid of them as soon as Possible, Everyone here knows that the Variations in Stamps will Severly affect the Tools Useability, Blemishes like that shouldnt be taken lightly. Only because im a Nice guy.. and i know you said you had to clean them up, Im gonna make this one time offer of $60 bucks for your Wrench set. I feel its a Fair offer, I just need your Paypal Addy. Oh.. and dont get me started on SK's Warranty..

Very funny. I just put together a SAE/Metric vintage craftsman wrench set. I may put one of the sets up for sale/trade in the near future...

It's a shame about the quality control with these. What with the mismatched initials and all...maybe someone sauced on the job?

I wish SK still made these type of wrenches. I have an SAE set from 1/4" to 1-1/4".
