I picked up this very small. I believe vintage air compressor at the yard sale this weekend. As a patent date of 1933 but no manufacturer name the patent no. Is 2023466. Guy I bought it from didn’t know if it was really very old or not so I took a chance just because it was a cool looking piece. Somebody tell me what I’ve got what it was used for and what the years of manufacturer were. Thanks.

With a patent date of 1933, that should be it's oldest possible age. In theory, they were required to remove the patent info once expired, so 17 years after that.

The patent is on the pump.

Can't tell you much more now, but maybe reading the patent will offer clues, like it was made as a paint sprayer, or done other good stuff.
