Really? $250 apiece doesn't strike me as a great buy for those. What am I missing?

$400 give or take for just the roll cab is a reasonable price in my opinion. If you have a bigger box and those side boxes can be mounted onto a bigger box, then it would be a huge bonus.

I'd say $400 tops. I value the side boxes at $100 a piece, that is what I paid for the full set drawer version. The main box is a rare version so if you are really set on that layout compared to the normal 7 drawer version, maybe, but I'd still say $200ish for it. I generally don't value 26" wide boxes very high since they are just that, small boxes. Also there is a ton out there so you miss one, another will come along.
I think it is fair for what it is. If you are looking for a tool box, you can find something more useable for the money.
That as a working box is a pain. I personally can't stand drawers behind doors for common access items. It is too much effort to open a door fully to then open a drawer to get out the tool you need. Additionally, low shelves such as on the right hand side, side box are tiresome to retrieve items from, in my opinion. Things get piled in and become a mess.
If you do go for it, thoroughly check all drawers to ensure they have not worn through the friction slide rails. The fact that it has a sub frame for casters make me think it was used heavily by rolling around a factory. The worn off paint on the top portion of the center box would further indicate heavy use.
That bottom (center) box is a canada / euro only config with the 3 drawers across the top as I recall. Left is a KR288 and a ever so common KR274 on the right that is missing it's badge.
