I'm selling three vintage Snap On Diagnostic Meters. They all have Bakelite cases, with matching handles with chrome insert strip on the top. All three are marked with the words "Snap On" on the front.
There is one Cam Angle Meter (Dwell Meter, I think) # MT-420-A
This one is a Tachometer, # MT-410-A
The third unit is a Regulator Tester, #MT-401
My price is $65 for all 3, plus shipping. I checked and I can squeeze all 3 into a USPS LARGE Flat Rate box, although it won't leave as much room for thick packing as I would prefer. But the buyer can choose the method of shipping, and I will charge ONLY whatever shipping costs me.
Below are more photos and detail information on each of them:
MT-420-A Cam Angle Meter:This one is in pretty good shape. There are two smudges on the plastic face, which may have been caused by something hot, or glue or something. (see photo) There are some dry-rot cracks in the insulation of the cables.
Note that this unit has scales for 4 cyl, 6 cyl, and 8 cylinder engines.
It has a battery still inside, and I posted extensive photos of that battery and the inside of this meter under General Tool Discussion. Rather than repeat them here, see this link:

MT-410-A Tachometer
This meter has a dial to change from 6 to 12 to 24 volts. Another dial switches RPM scales from 1,000 RPM to 5,000 RPM. The third dial switches from 4 lobes, 6 lobes, and 8 lobes. (see photos above) The clear lens is much nicer on this one, and there doesn't seem to be any cracks in the rubber insulation on the cables. But this meter had a leaky old battery inside. It corroded the battery connections, but it does not seem to have corroded the entire meter. I have no way to test it, but I'll bet you could clean the contacts, install a correct new battery, and it would probably work. But again, I am merely speculating on that. I cannot test it, so I must sell it as is. See photos below:
MT-401 Regulator Tester
This one does not seem to use batteries, as there is no removable rear cover. The lens and the gauge face are very nice. One knob lets you switch from negative ground to positive ground, and the other has 3 settings: 15V, 60A, and 60V.
The rubber insulation on the cables is cracked on this meter.
All in all they are some pretty nice Snap On Diagnostic Meters. Whether you get them to use, or as decoration in your shop, they are priced very competitively for Snap On equipment. First to pay owns them.
