Vintage Snap On Exhaust Gas Analyzer

I picked up one of these at a yard sale. Can anyone tell me how it works? Or does anyone have the instructions (or a repair manual) that they would be willing to scan, photocopy or sell to me? I'll be happy to pay a reasonable price.

I would give Snap-on a call or send an Email. I did a quick check on their website in the parts catalog and couldn't find it listed under the test equipment section.
