Vintage Snap On Flip Up Toolbox Identification

Hello everyone. Can someone please help me identify this Snap On box? Approximate date, etc? The riveted emblem was obviously painted over. There was no date code or model number on the box. Appreciate the help!

Its a KR-56. Measure the rectangular area that starts in the left back corner. An "add-on" carry tote (purchased separately) would go in that space. The KTR-1 tote was 20 1/2 x 8 1/2 and the KTA-3 tote was 20 1/4 x 8. If the space is big enough for the KTR-1 then, based on the available catalogs, it was made 1948-53. The smaller tote is in the 1955 catalog (1954 cat. isn't available). No catalogs are available for 1956 & '57, but in the '58 catalog the emblem is mounted in the upper left corner.

I just bought the same box and mine included the KTA-3 tote. I'm dating mine at about 1954-57.
