I race motocross and had an old frame i traded for these two SNAP-ON boxes,i think one Is a kr56 and the trouble im having is the two drawer orange mid box,i dont know what model it is.
Im going to restore, is it worth more with the patina if i do decide to sell or should i get the exact snapon color that is period correct remove emblems and shoot paint.
It seems to be a machinist box but then again 30-60 yrs ago we didnt have specialty tools requiring monstrous boxes like we do now,so i guess it can be mechanic or machinist kennedy style box right?
The sliders are perfect, actually better quality drawers and guage metal than my MATCO service cart.problem is i cant find a 26" roller,so i think i will sell.
I have locks for boxes i need to install.

1)What should i ask price wise as is?
2)restore/paint or keep as is just degrease?
3)what are the model numbers of these two?

Thank you in advance,
Poppanitrous

Those don't look to be in that bad of shape for their age. Those are from the 50's. I would leave them as they are if you want to sell them. Personally if a box shows it age, I like it as is and hasn't been mess with. Middles are hard to fine and die hards want them, but there are only so many die hards and I think they are all on this site. I would ask $250 for the pair if selling. By me there is guy with exactly what you have repainted, he is asking $450 and has had it posted for 6 months.
