Hi guys, first i must say that i am new to this and i am in England so please be gentle with me! Have posted a couple of things but in the wrong section it seems, sorry about that. I have an old ratchet that i am curious about, pretty sure it was made by Snap On as apart from the finish and markings it is identical to my 1941 3/8" Ferret ratchet. The only markings i can see are AT8022 on the handle and a date code G (1945?) between the reverse lever. Does AT stand for Aircraft Tool, Aviation Tool? I believe these may have been made during WW2 for aircraft tool kits/rolls. Am i right in thinking it was part of a kit for planes using the Packard built Merlin engine, P-51 Mustang etc? Makes me wonder where has it been, i wish it could talk! Just wondered how common they are over there, this is the first one i have seen in the U.K. Sorry no photos as i cant get them off my phone, DOH! Very sorry if i have put this in the wrong section. Any info would be great, thanks.
