Vintage Snap On Tool Box

Any info on this? The bottom piece is/was chrome? Can not find the model or year on CollectingSnapOn.com. The back of the cabinet does not show the model# maybe its under some grime. Thanks

I don't believe it was chrome. IMO it looks like someone maybe taped off the bottom rail and used stripper to remove the paint trying to do a restoration on it.

no, I took bottom piece off and the chrome that was covered behind the other metal was shiny.

OH, I don't know. From the picture I knew looked strange but never seen that before.

Thinking from 1940's based off when logo was used. Mid box is from 1950's.

It's a mid-ish 1950's KR420 middle box on top of a early 50s KR351 bottom box with a later, probably KRA412 side shelf.

Pretty obvious it is. Weren't you a police officer? Never made detective?

i have replied to your questions in your other thread and i see that zkiing has pretty much nailed it in this thread (post #7).
i don't believe that the KR-351 Rolling-Cab featured chrome on it's bottom and chrome finish is not present in the catalog pictures of it's likeness.
