Hello. It was recommended I post some Snap Ons I have in here. I inherited these from my uncle who was a Boeing mechanic years ago. He had some really nice stuff.

Thanks, although I'm not starting out in aviation as fun as that would be. My uncle was in aviation as a mechanic at Boeing for a long time. You should have seen the really specific stuff he had. Big weird looking tools. I got them all when he passed away.

As an aircraft mechanic myself I would probably be impressed with the unique collection he would have gathered over the years

you can get the model info off of some items - like the ratchet, then look up the tooth count and dates

New Dual-Drive 72 teeth (1/4 drive) and 80 tooth ratchets (3/8, 1/2 drive) have no screw heads showing on the top of the ratchet (the side with the selector switch and the Snap on name).

7-series ratchets (F720, etc) have cap over gear in head; are 20 teeth (some are 30 tooth) - F71G 1970-1978

8-series(F830) are 30 teeth

9-series(F936) are 36 teeth

Dual-80 (80 teeth; 72 teeth in 1/4”) starts ~ 2005
