You could always pay for shipping, yah? Like if you're buying something vintage for refurbishment or whatever you can pay 50 bucks for shipping (probably less though) through ups. Most sellers are willing to ship if you don't ding them with the shipping and sweeten the pot a bit.

Looks like a early to mid 50's setup. KR-56 top, 6drawer and IDK on the bottom box. Very cool steup. Wish I was closer too.

Eh, no worries. I was just too lazy to open the catalog at the moment. I'm not familiar with the bottom boxes like I am the tops.

Hard to describe why someone thinks a certain item is cool. I just think they are neat. I like drop front boxes. I think the badge style is cool. I like the drawer layout, good size. IDK. Personal taste.

I would NOT, repaint those boxes, especially since it sounds like you will do a half a$$ job. They look to be in very serviceable condition as is. Repainting a box with a good job is a VERY time and skill consuming task. Majority of the time, when people repaint boxes they turn out worse and less valuable than when before. Note, I said, majority, not all the time.
