I pulled a old tool box I've had under my workbench out today in a rare cleaning episode looking for something I did not find. I recall I was given a cardboard box of old sockets by a janitor at work back in the late 70's. He lived in a trailer park and said he found them cleaning out an old house trailer.
They kind of remind me of a set my Dad had when he returned form WWII, were he was a maint Sgt on a B17 squadron in England.
They are marked Made in USA, and some have been marked with (I think) stamp with "RAY" which I suspect was the owners name.
Any idea who mfg'd them? When they were mfg'd?
Some of the smaller sockets don't match the majority and the u'joint and spanners were from somewhere else.
I'm not interested in selling them, so I'm really not concerned with there value,
