Well, Kester is still in business, for the good and the bad. The bad, if not, you’d know a latest date. The good, you could contact them.

Nothing in ITCL

There is a company “wiki history” site, but I can’t find it now to see if Kester is there.

All other references just repeat what little is on Kester’s page.

Goodness I’d hate to solder like that. I **** holding irons like a pencil to solder, that grip would be a disaster now.
Could have been much worse, that was pretty early in the electric Iron era, before then you had a pair of solid copper irons and a liquid fueled blow torch to heat them in turn.
