no its at an auction that wheel guard looks like a hard item to find i never seen one

Never mind the wheel guard. You can fabricate that. It is a slow speed grinder and looks as though it has the attachment for doing planer blades and such. Killer machine.

i am not really that concerned about the wheel cover but i have never seen one before and thats what caught my eye was the slower speed if i can get it i will

Anybody know who made this grinder? Doesn't seem to be Wissota. Knowing this would help you find a replacement clamshell.

King-Seeley.
Made them for a lot of different companies. I bought two 10", 1hp grinders last fall for $100 each. Awesome grinder. The light in the shield isn't made anymore and would have to be custom fabricated.

I beg to differ. Kingston-Conley made them for Stanley Works until 1960

My mistake. You are 100% right, I get my own grinder's manufacturer incorrect. i am not having a good day.......
They shouldn't have a company starting with King and another with Kingston.....I get screwed up with my names.
That being said, the lighting parts under the shield are obsolete and will have to be custom made.

That Stanley dates from somewhere between 1959 and 1980. Can't really pin it down any closer than that just from what is visible in the photos, because they really didn't change them much during the whole time that model was available.
Kingston-Conley made the older-style Stanley grinders, before that one, but probably not that one. King-Seeley certainly didn't make it.
Stanley grinders of that era were very high quality, and were as good as any other brands, including Baldor.
I wouldn't worry about the missing side cover. You can either fabricate a replacement from sheet metal, or use the existing one to have a replacement cast in aluminum or ductile iron.
The plane and chisel grinding attachment on the right side is missing the holder that slides on top. Those are often missing. It's another part that can be fabricated if you want to use that attachment. Otherwise, you can just make a plain tool rest for that side, or adapt one from another model grinder.
