I did my due diligence and searched the title. I checked the list. I can find nothing, so here goes:

A friend gave me this the other day:

I believe the logo is what's called the "third Sweetheart", placing it 1922-1935.

It's my second rosewood and brass Stanley try square, so I'm only one short of starting a collection!

I acquired this Stanley in 1970. I was a new teacher in a new shop in the Detroit school system. They shut down the old shops and built all new with all new tools. The old shops were from when the school was built in the 1920’s. The department head asked me to help him throw the old tools into a dumpster. At 22 I had no tools and asked if I could have some. He said take what I want. I picked out a dozen or so of well used but good woodworking tools. All were Stanley. I have all of them. Will pass them on to my sons.

This one's been knocking around the shop for years:

Blade could use some TLC.

Funny story about the first one above: The guy who gave it to me asked why anyone would need a little square. How do you answer that?

He also brought a pair of nice, knee-length snow gaiters in as he didn't know what they were. When I told him and showed him how to use them, he then asked why anyone would be out stomping around in the snow. He lives at around 5,000' elevation here in the county--you'd think that would be obvious.

This guy graduated valedictorian from HS and Dean's List from college. He served two tours in Iraq. He ain't dumb.

But, then, he is from Texas.
