ok, against popular opinion i decided to go back to plan "A" the cabinet/riser/gerstner setup since i wasnt 100% convinced that the bottom cabinet was a blackhawk.
it only took me 2 years to fint the top one, so i'm sure i can wait another 2 years to find the proper bottom to match.
i just finished painting it. it's in the booth baking at about 180* presently.
i used the hammertone paint. it's been years since i've used it. i recall it having a "fish eye" effect. this looks more like a textured kennedy box.
well see.
i will have pix later today or tomorrow if i dont get pissed and throw this thing in the dumpster

it was still tacky so i left it atwork yesterday. i picked it up this morning.
i was afreaid it would be textured/wrinkled but it layed down pretty slick.
it ant perfect. theres a few dents still.
i'm putting it back together now.

pretty much done. i'm gonna redo the top liner and make some sort of liners inside the cabinet.
