Vintage tool box

Can anyone tell me anything about this box? The p.o. told me it was from the 70s but was unsure of the brand. Any ideas?

That looks similar to a SnapOn box i have from 1974. Look on the back of the box with a flashlight. Mine had the model number and the date stamped.

i got three of them, although people think they are snap on, there alot of companies that made them. most people refer to those as road boxes. toolbox for road mechanics. even jackson had a copy.

not saying its not a snap on, but its seems like the different is in the handles, and some has three rows of small drawers and some two. mine had snap on dealers decals on it, but i dont think the box was an orignal

The badge changed later on, but that drawer style started in 59 or so, and the badge around 70.

Looking at the handle edges, I’d guess it’s MBC rather than SO

I’ve got a Bonney probably MBC. Duplex made those withe the fluted pulls also.
