Picked up this heavy trash container at an estate sale at a 50's era house. Painted and added Pure Oil decal. Then decided to put a coat of wax on the floor of the show room part of our garages. Time for an adult beverage!

That can is slick. Goes great with that floor. That pic of your garage looks better than the inside of my house. I'm jealous.

Are they St. Charles metal cabinets in the background?

I did a midcentury modern and had to track some of them down -- ended up buying a whole kitchen to get some extras that I needed. Harvest Gold. I had a local body shop paint all the ones for that project. Saved the extras and used them in another projects laundry room -- again painted by my local auto place (white) . Amazing cabinets and quite valuable today -- especially the curved ends ..

I have two sets in this part of this garage. The ones pictured are Beauticraft, 1952. I have another set in that room that are Youngstown.

You may not have seen my post from last week, but I was gifted another set attached recently. Not sure what I'll do with them.
50's steel cabinets work great in a shop.

cool ... Don't know much about other makers. The St Charles are tanks -- and they have all these accessories that go into them.

I'm keeping what I have because if I ever do another NYC apartment kitchen -- I'm going to track down the few I need to make it work.

Is that a Bennet? I have one that looks similar. galvanized can inside pulls out to empty. Bennet made lots of service station stuff besides just gas pumps.

I stumbled across mine at a moving sale, guy said it was there when he moved in and didn't know it was anything special...cost me $1

I need to get it looking as good as yours some day.
