Anyone know who made, or sold, this hand Valve Grinder/Lapper?
The body is a casting and the knob is wood.
The reversible drive piece is held with a cotter pin.
Look familiar to anyone?
(Sorry for the poor picture. I still don't have the hang of it yet!)

I don't know, but I know one has been posted before, leg, because I remember marveling at the construction and action with that toy spinning top like counterwing. Probably in one of the many Whatzit? threads that end up being a valve lapper or valve lapper drive attachment, if you feel like going fishing on the search bar. It wasn't Zim. Edit: unless that was you posting it before.. haha

Thanks Lugz, I may go fishing if I get caught up this weekend.

On another machinery site I frequent, the mod's will not accept a thread title that is not specific. No "what is it" or "mystery tool" but must be descriptive, like "some kind of threading tool??" or whatever.
That works out better when searching.

I found the lappers I was thinking of. Very similar design, but not the same. One is one cast piece and the other is just a steel rod with a bend in it like an old tee handle, but both operate on the same principle, with no crank or gears. See post #1 and post #10 in this thread here.
