US Patent: 1,392,443 - Wrench
US patent 1,392,443 Wrench was issued to William Petersen of DeWitt, NE. It was granted on 10/04/1921. The "1st Model" was produced for a few years at DeWitt using forged pieces manufactured at Cicero, Illinois. It does not have the locking lever, which

Looks like the very early vise grips often refered to as the "humpback". I have had a pair in the past and I believe there was a forged logo of vise grip on the top.I see on fleabay a vintage vise grip. The seller writes that it is one of the first from Petersen mfg. see pic. Any thoughts or comments?
