Vintage Vise Grips

Of all the tools I sell on eBay two seem to lead the pack for popularity
-Old adjustable wrenches
-"real" vise grips

I understand the attraction but there is something that I don't quite get. I've had several transactions for very early vise grips.... 1940's patents, and some of the first still in the original boxes. Just this week a set of the gold presentation vise grips. The majority of what I think would be most desireable have gone to Thailand. All to different buyers.

So what's up with that? Are they building a Petersen shrine or something over there?

Old story I would guess something along these lines...When we have it we don't miss it and when we can no longer have it we miss it.

Yea, it just seemed curious that it's only Thailand along with the prices they've been paying.

Thailand also happens to be a mecca for credit card fraud. You should be ok if paid by Paypal as they will cover any losses.
