Please school me on Vulcan tool boxes.
I picked up a nice Vulcan drop front box today and am interested in learning more about it. The drawer layout reminds me of a Yorktown.
Nice patina on the outside the drawers are mint having always had liners in them. I plan to find an interesting vintage roller cabinet to go with it.
Was Vulcan part of Williams brand?

The later 20th Century Vulcan was Williams attempt at reaching the tool-truck market of Snap-On and Mac. Your box is from that time. There was an earlier Vulcan brand by Williams that was much different.

So about 1990's? I would have 70's maybe even 60's.:dunno:

I would pull the lock cylinder and take it to a locksmith. Usually 20$ they will make a key
