For my first post thought I’d share this. I came across this vintage 1977 Wilton beer holder at a recent estate sale and thought some of you would appreciate it. Rusty and seized, but looks to have had an easy life and only held one or two beers in its time. Freed it up with some penetrating oil, then stripped it down. Unfortunately not enough original paint left to preserve so repainted in satin Como green :) Perfect for both cans and bottles :lol_hitti

Looks great! Surprisingly the color fits it just right. Have to keep this color in mind for future projects!

:bounce: Crayola certified paint!!!

Results are in, after the first round of testing I can now confirm that the Wilton easily holds any regular size of beer at all liquid levels, full to empty, significant testing may have taken its toll on me though ...

This Marlinspike Porter was a standout!...

Thanks WWShop!

And FarmerJ your 100% right, looks like Wilton were years ahead of the game with their integrated beer holder and recycle crushing device. :bounce:

More testing planned for Friday evening

So seems like these vises have a habit of multiplying! I went to look at an old lathe a while back and came back with another Wilton that was thrown in. This one was seized up, but a week long soak and some gentle persuasion freed it up. Went with Massey Ferguson grey this time. Beer testing will commence this weekend :bounce:
