Hello, my name is Bill (Hoggiles). I just joined the Garage Journal. I am still trying to figure out how to post discussions. I purchased an old Wilton Bench Vise today at a garage sale and can't find anything that looks like it. It has the number UX1 121078 and on the other side UX121079. I think it's a 4" vice. It has the swivel, but it also has another axis which allows you to turn the vise at a 90 degree vertical angle in both directions. The pipe jaws are covered by the regular jaws, and the regular jaws are removed to use the pipe jaws. It looks like a nice vise. Anyone ever saw one of these?

Welcome!
If you post a picture, somebody will recognize it. Snap a picture and go to the posting page where you wrote your message. See the little paper clip icon. Use that to select the pic of your vise from the pics on your phone or iPad or whatever.

It sounds like one of the Wilton imported universal vises. Pretty much the same as all the other Asian-made vises of that genre

The tiny paper clip icon is right next to the black and white smiley face on the top line to the right of fonts and sizes...

It is older and is made in the USA. I attached a picture of it in the vertical jaws position. Thanks
