I obtained this nicely made chisel and was just curious if anyone has and idea of the maker or origin. Much appreciated....

Agree that it resembles an H. D. Smith tool, marketed as "Perfect Handle". The shank of the tool and form of the wood portions resemble a Smith tool but neither have I seen one with the bands around the wood sections.

sorry i can't tell you who made that chisel, but it does look a bit EUROPEAN if i was to say country of origin.
