No video or pictures, so no idea what you have.

Most older compressors use an unloader valve--a compression release, basically--to take the load off on start up. Those can stick and cause the comp to bog down or trip breakers on start-up. I replaced the unloader on my early '60s DeVilbliss a decade or so ago. Not cheap, but not that bad.
