So I want to install 6" vinyl cove base in my pole barn - I've watched videos on how to cut the relief on back side for inside corners and feel comfortable with attempting it. That being said, I have a 90 foot run that will have 3 inside corners - is it advisable to attempt a run this long? My concern is trying to measure accurately before gluing it onto walls. If I choose to splice in a corner, will the seam be easy to hide?

You don't need to precut before install. Start in one corner and work your way around. 90 ft is not that long. Use cove base adhesive with the wide tip. It sticks fairly well right away.

Yeah when I did mine I just rolled and glued as I went, no pre cutting. Make sure you liberally apply glue and wipe up any that squeeZes out as you go. The relief cuts can be made once you know where the corner will sit, and while on the roll.

Maybe I’m over thinking it. So I can put adhesive on back, glue to the wall as I go along and when I get to the corner make the relief cut on back. I envision what I already have glued to the wall coming off.

The glue is pretty strong, once it's obvious where the corner is going to sit, you can measure and place the cut.

I'm in commercial construction. Don't try to pre-measure for your corners. Have seen it tried, but I've never seen it work.

as others have said, cut & fit as you go. run the 90' and make your corner when you get to it. if anything make it a tad longer, the cove will "shrink" with a bit of massaging . cove base glue will allow movement/ remove etc for quite a while .

The Cove Base I seen came in boxes of a definite length.

I assisted in changing the Cove Base for a hotel 30 plus years ago.

It's sold in 3ft lengths or 150ft rolls typically. I like the roll, but that's just me.

I bought mine at lowes. Color scheme looks the same, you can kind of make it out in this picture. Unfortunately the only one I have with the cove base installed. There's only a few manufacturers of this stuff from what I gather. I had to special order it tho because I wanted the angled toe at the bottom and I wanted 6".e50e41ae5963a1d353191cf377b4c3e7.jpg
