Vinyl flooring

I was at homedepot the other day and saw a roll of the Husky diamond vinyl flooring in a roll.


I currently have concrete flooring, my question is how will does this stuff hold up to actual work?

Do jacks roll over this stuff? Will jack stands leave creases or even tear it apart?

I cant find it on their website, but I think it was 7.5x17 or 20 feet and was marked at $99.

Or would I be better off finding some cheap clearance vinyl tiling and use that instead?

you are almost better off to find a "fiber" covering, carpet, indoor out door stuff than vinyl. Nothing sharp or with an edge can walk, run, drag over it, with out damage....and if you do get and glue it down, now you have to remove all that adhesive.

Jack stands will cut a stencil out of it in just a few hours. Jacks and tool boxes roll easily, but any edges or sideways (against the grain of the floor, or against the roll of the casters) movement will slice the vinyl.

If you have kids or dogs, you know active they are...vinyl flooring only lasts a year or so with them on it and behaving. Peel and stick tile may last a bit longer, but the jack stands will still cut them, especially the cheaper stuff.

The good thing about individual VCT is if you damage one you can peel it up and replace it....

Husky Diamond flooring is a roll out PVC product similar to G-Floor, Nitro and Diamonddeck. I can not speak to where or how it is made and have had no feedback what-so-ever on the quality of the material.

My concern with prepackaged material is always the same. How long has it been rolled and how long will it take to relax.
