EDIT: question is not simply about 'cleaning' and 'powerwashing' siding. Note the actual product details. Thanks! :)

Anyone have any experience w/ a product like this? Does it help restore/protect in any way?

https://vinylrenu.com/

This product or something similar. Looking at a home and the vinyl siding is a touch older, wondering if a product like this would help w/ weather protection and appearance. Siding is in decent shape otherwise. Thanks.

Also any suggestions on similar products like this that work well and are easy to apply are welcomed. Thanks!

There are "recipes" & instructions on line for a good cleaning mixture and procedures.
Iirc it's some TSP, a shot of bleach and some dish detergent. Most folks will wash their $40k car weekly and never think about washing their $240k house, ever. Washing your house annually is recommended, and the north facing wall is usually the first to grow mold spots and eventually turn green with the right conditions.
I'd give that a shot before spending that much on what I'd guess is the same thing unless there's some type of armor all type additive that may actually brighten it.

Used this product in our vinyl shutters. Made a big difference in their appearance. Did it 3 years ago and it needs to be done again. Hope this helps.

A friend of mine uses a 5 gallon pail and he mixes some water together with some bleach and a little liquid laundry soap. Every Spring he washes the siding on the north side of the house which usually has a little mold starting. He has a scrub brush with a long handle on it so he reach all the way to the roof line. Once he scrubs off the mold he uses a pressure washer to clean off the soap and bleach. Seems to work pretty well for him, I am going to try it this Spring, I have a little green mold starting on the north side of our house.

There are plenty of "recipes" for "cleaning". Generally, the least expensive option is just pressure-washing. No recipes, concoctions, or other potions are needed.

Vinyl Renu contains N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone. NMP is used as a solvent to melt/wash away the oxidized vinyl material- leaving a clean "re-newed" looking vinyl.

When I built my garage I reused all the siding from the old one and bought enough new to finish the job. Some of the pieces that had seen the most sun were a little chalky and dull compared to the new stuff.

I just hit them with Armour All. They looked good for a few years. I'll probably do that again once I wash it down later this spring.

I've used Armor All as well. Did several sides of a house where the sun had caused it to chalk. I thought it would take a long time, but was surprised how quickly it went. Just used a spray bottle and a rag. I pressure washed the siding and let it dry a few days before applying the armor All.
