Vinyl tile floor help?

I have decided on a vinyl tile floor for a portion of my garage. It is about 2 years old and the slab was finished with a mechanical trowel (helicopter looking machine). I wanted it very smooth so I could use my go-jacks and roll cars around easily. So the slab is 'sealed' I guess?

I'm sure there must be a 'how-to' thread here some where?

What types of vinyl tile are there? What types of glue are best? I live in the Norteast so temperature extremes are inevitable.

I would like to know if I need to acid-etch? or what prep is involved?

Can I roll around an engine hoist or a motor stand with an engine without denting the floor?? How about welding slag?

A buddy of mine just used the stick-ons. I have not seen it yet.
Are stick-ons any good? Will they last?

And can someone recommend a good brand?

And then what about polish or coating after install?? necessary?

I need a basic education on garage floor vinyl tile!!

Thanks alot!!

I wish I could give you all the answers in one shot. I spent hours reading the site, going to manufacturers websites and focusing on my floor. Is the garage heated? Do you live in a cold climate, do you have moisture issues. These are some of the questions you need to know.

I am going with Armstrong VCT. I will use the adhesive they suggest and then will wax the floor after that. I think Peel and stick is not the best for a garage floor.

You should be able to do this yourself for less than $1.00/ sq ft.

That's all I know so far.
