Viper Tool Storage Tool Boxes

Ok so I work at sears and all of our new boxes arent really built that great in my opinion so I went looking online at sears.com to find a good box to use. We sell a brand called Viper. I bought a 41" roller and man I love it. Its very well built alot better than the craftsman ones. It has 19 gauage steel drawers and 18 gauage frame. Im still adding to it ( just got it last night ) Does anyone else have one of these? If so what are your thoughts on it. When I read the reviews online everybody loved them ^_^

they seem like real nice quality boxes. i like the drawer handle style, real solid feeling compared to the craftsman style..

Yes they are the same pulls. I'm not sure if the boxes are built the same or not. I know drawer layout between the two brands is different.

My Sears carries Viper boxes. They are far and away better than the Cman stuff there. If the 41" had a different drawer layout I would definitely consider buying one.

i played with their boxes last week at sema. the guys working the booth let me do anything i wanted to their boxes to test them. i hung from their upper drawers and stood on the corner of their bottom drawer. not a single problem and the BB drawers still rolled in while i was standing on the corner.

Where's it made?

The green 26in setup they have on display at the local Sears here is made in China.

Better quality than the current Craftsman lineup, but that doesn't take much nowadays...

I think those boxes completely **** on the craftsman boxes when sears puts them next to eachother. Ontop of that they are generally cheaper. I just really wish the top drawer was bigger. Only thing stopping me at this point. I might cave soon and just get one though. Either that or a masterforce

I'm not crazy about the drawer set up, they did have a lime green box at sears I played with for awhile.

They seem like well built boxes, but some seem really gimicky. For me, I would rather have two deep full width drawers instead of the four shallow ones. I hate shallow drawers.

So, I ended up with a Home Depot gift card.

I walked the store more than a few times on a couple of occasions and didn't find anything that I wanted, or didn't already have.

I looked on their website, and realized they sell a lot more brands online than they do in the store.

It's a great little box. very well built and heavy. Nicely finished and the drawers work great.

I liked the little 18" Viper box I got so much, that I ordered another one!

I'm going to use one for digital/ electrical tools, and maybe one for my little collection of riveting tools.

I like them being different colors from my usual black. It should cut down on the confusion when I'm looking for that certain tool.

Ya I hear ya they come in a variety of flavors that stick out from the usually colors so you can be differenet I had a man buy a big pink one to stick out from all the other guys at the shop

I have one for my dirt bike box. Its a great box. Only trouble I have had is a 1/2 torque wrench won't fit in the drawers because its short then most boxes.

Thanks for the pictures. I just ordered this "ARMOR" series 41" combo, because I like the drawer configuration and it reminds me of an Anvil Case. I can't tell if that's aluminum framing it or what, but it looks like bolts instead of rivets. It'll be my first box that isn't a total piece. Here's a picture from the internets:

When ever I go browsing at sears the Viper boxes always seem nice. A bit spendy for their size, but well constructed. Only thing that sticks out to me is that the detents seem to be really tough as in after a few opening and closings the contents may be shifted. Plus they come in some pretty wild colors.

They have a lifetime warranty too, which I don't think Craftsman, Kobalt, or Husky does. I read about a lot of damage from shipping when you order the smaller sizes, because UPS likes to damage heavy items. The larger sizes ship via freight, on pallets, and seem to get handled nicer. We'll see.

I have a viper pro series toolbox its the 72 armor series cabinet with a black 72" hutch. ive had it for a little while now and overall i feel that it is really good quality. hutch and cabinet combined it weighs around 1300lbs empty its a pretty solid sturdy built toolbox. the cabinet has around 11,300 cu in. of storage space and the hutch is great having the side pull out drawers. the hutch is big enough to hold all my charger for my power tools a couple of torque wrenches my logitech stereo system, some flashlights, a lincoln 140mig welder and still have workspace left over. the toolbox has one large top drawer that i use for sockets it has my sockets ratchets and bits, and its got 400+ pieces in that drawers alone. The toolbox is really great it holds a ton of tools and is the sturdiest most well built toolbox ive owned. I upgraded from a craftsman premium heavy duty series 52" bench and my viper toolbox is a massive upgrade in quality from that. i have a video on my youtube channel here

i run through the box real quick after i got it and got all my tools into it. I have it next to my buddies matco 4s toolbox and i honestly think its just as good quality wise as his except i paid about a 1/3- a 1/4 what he paid for his and mine actually has more space than his. i would reccomend this toolbox to anyone who is looking for a lot of quality storage space on a budget overall i only paid 2500 for what i have in my video
