OK guys here's the deal. I am going to have a new pole barn built at my house in the very near future and can't decide on what kind of finish I want the floor to be. So here are the particulars....
The shop will be 30'40'. It will be used mostly as a racecar shop (dirt modified). I own snowplowing equipment that will need to be repaired and stored inside. I will be on a creeper or on the floor a lot. There will be vehicles that leave oil spots. Brake clean, gasoline, gear oil, blood and god knows what else will be hitting the deck of my new shop.
Now some of my backround. I work for a concrete supplier (mixer driver). We (fellow co-workers, boss) will be placing the concrete. We have all of the necessary tools and knowledge to do a nice job when it comes to plain "vanilla" concrete.
There is no doubt the floor will take a beating,so, should we just get on it with power trowls and burn it or should I look into and epoxy or something different, and if so what kind of finish should I leave on the concrete to accept the epoxy type product.
