my garage is insulated but not sheetrocked yet, the insulation has the vapor barrier (paper backing), its probably gonna be awhile till I get the rest of the sheetrock up and was thinking of putting up vis-queen vapor barrier to help protect the insulation from holes and tears and such - is there any reason (besides the extra cost) not to do this? will putting the vapor barrier over insul. that has a vapor barrier cause any problems? this just a waste of time, leave it alone till it gets sheetrocked?? thanks-

Go visit the guys over at woodnet.net and sign up for their forum. They have a home improvement section and they are very helpful.

Go ahead and do it. I'm helping my buddy with his huge 2 story garage. We put plastic over the sheetrock/behind sheetrock. Helps do something, don't ask me what.
