I saw a users avatar with a vise that he made into a set of bookends. I like the idea. Anyone know who that is, so I can see them and make a set for my self.i have a few vises that are parts on and this would be a perfect use for some nock off Chinese vises that I have. Thank you brian

Check out the main vise thread a couple weeks ago for Mark in Indiana 's vise bookend display. He doesn't have the bookends in his Avatar, but he has made several of them. here's a picture of a display he just entered in a contest and he received second place with it.

Drives, that is really cool. I totally missed that one. That is a very clever yet simple idea. I guess some guys are just artists and the rest of us are copycats.

All,
Thank you for your interest and compliments about my vise bookends. Here's a couple of pictures of the one that was accepted in an upcoming art show that features art work from recycled items. It was featured in last months show, but no buyers.

mark, they are awesome. Did you spot weld the moving parts in place and polish or do they still function like they would normally.
