Vise Experts- Need help

Yes, I can see a crack in 2 of the pics.

FJ: it doesn't appear to be broke. the parts are worth more than the asking price if it is so it's worth going to see in person if it's not too far to do so.
also with a straight handle, and jaws and pipe jaws that look like it has very little use i'm wondering if Parker might have put a few of that style out that way from the factory. i'm not the Parker expert so not sure about that last theory.
also a person that did break a slide under the dynamic on a previous vise and used a U BOLT to fix might have put one on this vise for preventative measures.

EDIT: I have readers on and that could be a crack on the static, but like i say the parts (screw, vise nut, screw holder, pipe jaws, swivel base and dynamic jaw and maybe the removable jaws all look like they are in great shape.

That would jive with why the u-bolt has been added. I would not buy it if that is a crack, that's a really bad spot. Unless you are looking for a big project.

SweetD: i like that circle you drew on the spot that could and probably is a crack. here's a picture of the other side which might be easier to see the crack.
what program do you use on your computer to draw those circles? do you have a link to the program you used?
FJ: even though the vise might work ok if it is a crack this is more a parts vise at that point because it would take a lot of work to braze it and the value wouldn't be there when done if it wasn't just a user.

I just use the Microsoft Paint program that came with my computer. Works pretty well. Easy to use.

Sweet D: i actually use Paint to open my email pictures now because Windows 10 has new changes i'm not fond of. i might PM you for some help if you don't mind or hopefully i'll figure it out.

Using a U bolt like that is a common way to "repair" a broken vise. I've seen some on flea bay recently and they were busted up junkers with the same U bolt repair. Look very carefully if you decide to go out and examine this vise.
