I live fairly close to the old Peterson vise grip plant. Seen this on fbm appears to be never assembled vise grips. I have never seen a lot of parts like this for sale before. Thinking about grabbing these and putting some together. Has anyone ever done some thing similar to this?

You got a riveter machine? And the other assortment of missing parts?

Truth be told that pile seems cool, but also about $60 worth of steel. A few of the seemingly already complete ones probably are worth a few bucks.

The rivets, springs and adjustment bolts are cheap enough on Amazon that it would work out pretty cheap just using a press and seeing how that goes.

I like OG USA made Peterson Vise Grips too. I miss them as much as anyone but it’s time to let them go. This is too much effort. Those are missing key parts and who knows if they are even ready to assemble. They could be part of a reject batch or be missing heat treatment or something. Who knows why they didn’t get assembled. Start hitting yard sales and flea markets and find you a few of the literal millions they sold in the good old days.
