Are the 7LW worth owning?

Its not like they are expensive. They can come in handy. I have a set, haven't had a need for them yet, but when I do, they will be in the toolbox waiting, not in the store.

I've owned one for about three years now, and never used it once. I thought it would handy, but there's always a more suitable tool to use.

I went on a Vise-Grip buying spree when I found out Irwin was closing the USA factory. Before then I had 3 or 4. Have about 15 different version by now.

I remember when the nut style came out long ago, but never bought one. Now I have all 3, from the local flea market. But since it has been only a few months I have had no reason to use them. But I will be ready if or when the need arises.

I use my vise-grips to hold up the salad shooter (grass deflector) on my push mower, works great for that.

I use mine all the time. Heck, I'll buy those that people don't want if they are made in US. They hold a hex real tight w/o marring it up. I carry one on the tractor. They are great for decks too.

Looks like you might be able to make an cable crimper out of them.
