Vise Grip replacement springs?

I picked up a couple of Vise Grips this week, and both are missing the return springs...one is an 11R, and the other is a 4SP. I found replacement springs (I think) on eBay, except they are either in 5 packs, or want $8 shipped for just one.

Anyone had any luck sourcing a cheaper alternative?

You can still do that. Not the easiest to find the info on their site though, however..............

Here's a standard size extension spring from the hardware store.
You can see it makes contact with the sides of the plier but in the 10-12 years simce I did this it hasn't been an issue.

Called Irwin today, they are sending out the springs...
