I like that but I'm trying to free up some drawer space. I'd like to make a rack similar to the one I posted or buy one.

I just have the jaws lightly clamped and hang mine on peg board.

my Petersen Vice Grips have been tools without a home. mine have been moved from one drawer/box to another as i've needed space for other tools. i just picked up a 1980s Snap-on top box at the swap meet in the past week that should help out with some of my storage needs.

The vise grip pliers i have with other pliers in my tool box. The bigger ones I have hanging on a bar on my table. You can kind of see them here (I was making concrete tops for night stands):

If you get that hanger from eBay, post pics. It looks like it would work out pretty well!

Mine get stuck in the pliers rack with the all the other pliers

There's a guy that had a thread of here that fabricates a lot of different types of organizers. He makes some for vise-grips. I believe he sells them on eBay as well. Basically the same idea as the one you have there that's is also on eBay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/301912847175 here's a link. It's cheaper and has more storage.

If you have a large number of the same Vise Grip models, I always liked setups like the one shown in my attached picture, because they store quickly and easily no matter how the jaws are adjusted when putting them away and they don't take up much wall space.

i like this idea

in the garage, mine are all spread out in several toolbox drawers, i have the available drawer space, so it's no big deal
in my service truck i only have 3 pair, drawer space is at a premium, so they are clamped onto the top edge of my toolbox.

Here are three I have on file, but have not acted on any of them...yet. Mine are still in drawers, boxes and all over the place too.

I made a rack like the middle one at work boss and everyone loves it keeps them off the bench and nice on a tool board. Before they were clamped to a piece of angle and often they were clamped on so tight by an employee that it was a impossible to remove one handed for clamping

I finished my vise grip storage rack this weekend. I had most of them in a drawer but the rest were scattered about. Now I freed up a drawer for other tools and have all of my clamps consolidated to one area. They aren't locked up anymore, but most are in stacks of 6 for easy inventory.

Regular vise grips are in the drawer with the rest of the pliers. The locking c clamp style I have clamped on the side of the workbench out of the way, but easy to grab.

Just a humble little homeowner shop here with pegboard and just a few Peterson Visegrips. I use this rack commonly sold for screwdrivers and hang the vise grips "upside down" by their knurled adjusters. You can usually find them for around $2.00

this thread kinda motivated me to do something.
i didnt dislike my previous drawer storage method, but i was starting to run out of room.

threw this together out of some scrap, and found a spot for it on the wall.

I use the wire SO rack. The big ones for clamping metal I hang w/ F and C clamps on a piece of flat stock on end under the welding table.

I like the one's that hang by the adjusting screw on the back of the handle like in your 1st post. No way do I want to have to adjust them again just to hang them up some other way. Many jobs require 6 or more vise grips so that's a lot of adjusting when you're cleaning up.

The C-clamp style commonly used for welding are just hung by the open "C" on a 1" pipe (no matter how wide they were when last used they still hang uniformly with no need to readjust). I still keep all the other types in drawers. I'll be definitely making up some of those square tubing ones with the slots as my pliers drawers keep filling up and I can't stop buying visegrips.

Thanks guys! Some great ideas here, and I spotted one that's going to be perfect in my shop. I've got a bunch of them clamped to the frame of my welding table, and that's just a pain because there's enough of them that fitting them all on the beam is hard, and getting them off (getting your hands in to release them) is tough.
I've got a spot on the wall in front of my table that I figured would be a perfect area for a clamp rack, but hadn't come up with a design I liked.

While mine does not hold a huge variety, it does look cool and resulted in a fun search to fill it... the CR's were a bit challenging.

Did you recently win this on Ebay? I was bidding on the same one and lost.

Yeah that was it. I didn't want to spend that much but I've never seen one.

Nice ideas guys. I currently hang mine in the open C style on a hanger off the purlin in my shop. I just ordered 2 more 11 sp clamps for 13.61$ each. (Reg welding size) Just search vise grips Free shipping with prime. They are 22$ and change each at Lowe's and most other places. Hell of a deal compared to over 20$ each.
