I had to go check my box to see if mine were made in USA. I bought them a couple years ago and apparently they were still made in USA then. Shortly after I bought them the "from global components" started showing up. To be honest though, my made in USA VG's aren't perfect quality. Some of the casting is a little rough and the jaws needed reworked. They are the body clamps, so an uneven jaw is useless. I ground the mating surfaces flat with each other, but I shouldn't have had to do that.

My USAs aren't perfect either. But they are good enough for what they are. Locking pliers are kind of like clubs - rough tools made for brute force.
