No Kidding! I had to go check my box to see if mine were made in USA. I bought them a couple years ago and apparently they were still made in USA then. Shortly after I bought them the "from global components" started showing up. To be honest though, my made in USA VG's aren't perfect quality. Some of the casting is a little rough and the jaws needed reworked. They are the body clamps, so an uneven jaw is useless. I ground the mating surfaces flat with each other, but I shouldn't have had to do that.

My USAs aren't perfect either. But they are good enough for what they are. Locking pliers are kind of like clubs - rough tools made for brute force.

not when you're trying to get a tiny, rounded off screw out. Then you need those pliers to have finesse and bite on the very edge of the screw head so you can just ease the screw round and out.
