Have some I want to put on a bullet but how do you get them over top of the ball end of the handle, microwave them or something?

If they're rubber, soak them in rubbing alcohol, and they will become very soft/pliable/stretchy. Once they dry out, the rubber reverts to it's usual form.

82: I've never used any and every once in a while I do get the PINCHED hunk of skin. it's a quick reminder to get your hands out of the way or try to be more careful. I've heard that some guys use O rings from semi trucks and think they might have come in all kinds of colors too. can't recall exactly, but there were a few posts on the vise repair 101 thread if you do a search you might find some there.

Uhh, I must be missing something here...cause my answer was gonna be "just eat your Wheaties"...

I been thinking about putting some O-Rings in, just to make it "quiet"....

I've used O rings. Sprayed a bit of oil on the handle to help them slip over and then wiped it down. The oil also helps keep the handle from rusting.
