I've been searching for a Wilton bullet vice I can restore but am not having any luck locally. I found this one for $40 but can't read the manufacturer. It does say U.S.A. on it. Does anyone recognize the maker? Any thoughts on the price? I'm not in a hurry to get one but wouldn't want to miss a good deal though.

I can see that its a Yost made in Muskegon, MI. Seems to be a fair price and worthy of a restoration IMO.

All that rust is a disaster waiting to happen. One slip and you'll end up with tetanus.
Send it to me and I'll make sure that nobody gets hurt on that thing.

You're welcome.

All-right, all-right, I get it! I sent the seller a message and am waiting for a call back. I'll scoop it up if I can and restore it. Ain't no reason to stop looking for a Wilton bullet though. It's ok to have multiple vices, right? I mean vises. You can't have too many vises. Or block grinders. I blame you all for my new addictions.

If the care and feeding of old crappy vises is beyond your capability...

I'm sure we can find it a good home...

From 1993 to 2013 I owned one vise and never wanted another. I found this site last year and now I own 7 vises I think. I may have lost track of one or two. By the time garage sale season ends this year I'll probably have a dozen. Buy it!

He finally called back, took forever! Ok, it was only one day but doesn't it seem like forever when you get jazzed about something and are raring to go? Anyway, he was out running errands and will call me when he gets back so I can go look at it. Today. Fingers crossed.

i would buy that in a heart beat the biggest reason because it is my home town Muskegon, MI. and all the older yost vises i have seen were made in Holland, MI.
and they are a great vise
