This guy has had a bunch of machine shop tools for sale on CL. They have been listed for quite some time now and I was going the send him an email to see what he is willing to sell items separately. He has been looking to sell the contents minus the welding equipment for $14k.

I was interested in the vise, but can't ID from the pic. Anyone have an idea of the maker?

It's hard to tell from the photo, but it seems that the dynamic jaw is the rear jaw and the static jaw is in front. It also looks like jaw slides on an I-beam or wedge.

At first it looked **** ugly but then you could make out the milling vise in front which changed the profile of the 2nd vise.

I think its one of these Wiltons

aaahhhhhh, now I see it. You're all right, there are two vises in the circle. A milling vise and a bench vise behind it. As Roseanne Roseannadanna used to say - "Nevermind ........."

Not so sure about two vises in the pix, but there is certainly a rotary table behind the vise! Handy for lots of stuff if the price is right, even if you don't have a mill or lathe. Enco is a good place to look for prices to beat a seller with.

Since there is a big milling vise bolted down to the table, i'm sure he has no use for a second mill vise, let alone that out of place mechanics vise

I bet he would be happy to let you take those off his hands.:D

Besides, who needs 2 milling vises?
