Saw this on CL and was wondering if anyone knew what brand vise is on the bench:dunno:?? It looks like a Record or at least a European style, but I'm no expert. Could be Chico **** as well.

I stumbled upon it on CL since my father-in-law is looking for a workbench for the garage. It is included with the bench, but I might try and see if the owner is willing to sell it separately. I'm heading to the area next Saturday and could swing by and grab it if its worth the effort.

Sorry about the limited pics, but they are the only ones the seller listed:mad:.

I'm not certain, but it sort of looks like a Polish made Bison-Bial/FPU vise.

I think you are correct neophyte:thumbup:!!

I googled the make and model and guess what? It sent me to page 340 of GJ's thread (#6786) showing the same style in the pic here. Small tool world it is:pimpflash.

I'd love to have the bench, but I have no room. My father-in-law is looking for a metal one.

I'm betting with all the vises you buy and sell you probably have sold one where your buyer could use a nice bench like that. not everyone is as handy as you are to make one and not all of us are welders and need a metal one.

storage or shop space to put it while it waits for it's new home might be an issue or maybe your father in law would like it if you put a 1/4 inch piece of steel on top of this one with a little overhang. I know I would.

good luck
